When I left school I had no idea what I wanted to do, I went to university to study games design but flunked out after the first year. I've worked various jobs since I was 14 but the 9-5 working day makes no sense to me, it leaves precious little time for people to truly further themselves as individuals and to contribute to society. I believe people are too narrowly educated and this is only exacerbated by the main stream media, people know lots about little and little about lots. I believe by using technology that complements nature rather than destroy it we can create a greater standard of living for everyone. I have taken a lot of inspiration from Factor E Farm and the GVCS and we're hoping to replicate and build on their successes. I am a designer, an engineer, an artist, an educator and an effervescent fountain of ideas. I bring my knowledge of electronics, computer hardware and food production to the table, along with a large array of practical skills. I like to think I give the group it's "can do attitude". At the moment alongside developing our plans for Eversource, I'm working with Jim O'Brien on a domestic robot, this will be the first of our products released under the Eversource name and will be completely free and open sourced.
David Decent

I spent my childhood and teenage years buried deeply in academia, and my thirst for knowledge remains unquenched to this day. However, on the cusp of adulthood, I came to the conclusion that the life I had been setting myself up for wasn't the life I actually wanted. With this realisation came a massive shift in my priorities – I am no longer motivated by the prospect of monetary gain, but instead concerned for the future of mankind, and more importantly, the planet. Over the past couple of years I have come to realise that our established way of life is not sustainable, and that without a serious change in attitude and lifestyle, I will see the end of humanity within my lifetime. I have a background in software development, but I think my main contribution to the group is my problem solving skills, and a filter for David's torrential ideas.
James "Jim" O'Brien
I spent the first part of my childhood convinced I wanted to be a paedeatrician, then someone who makes robots for medicinal purposes. Then I went to India and opened my eyes more than I think they ever were before, and realised that the happiest people were the ones who lived in the middle of jungle, content with wearing a sheet wrapped around their legs. I met Jim in the first week of first year uni, and we've been friends ever since. He introduced me to Dave, and said that EverSource was something I just had to be a part of. I am deeply concerned with where this planet is heading, with news of a new extinction everyday. I'm hopping on the bandwagon because I think everyone involved has potential. The main thing I want to bring to the project is raising awareness that our actions have consequences - even the mundane ones like accepting plastic bags from the supermarket. That, and my awesome Drupal skills.
